No doubt in anticipation of the local arrival of the Apple iPhone 5 (see Officially yours: the iPhone 5; price, specs, other details here), the latest love-it-or-hate-it iDevice from the most valuable company in history, Smart Communications is coming out with its own nano SIM offering—and we’ve got pictures to prove it.

More solid details, such as a release date and pricing, remain a riddle as of this writing, but we’re betting our bottom peso that it’s most likely to be available in Smart stores soon. And maybe even in time to go head-to-head with Globe Telecom’s equally miniature SIM.
Again, this latest reveal from the Philippine carrier begs the question: Should we or should we not hold our breaths for the local and official iPhone 5 release date in the coming weeks? Because let’s face it, besides gushing over its smallness on Twitter and testing our macro-shooting skills, what are we to do with a very, very tiny SIM?
