Globe Telecom has introduced Google Mobile Apps, its own suite of iOS and Android apps to give both Globe and non-Globe users a richer smartphone experience.

The GMovies and GMessage apps are initially available to Android users via Google Play and soon to iOS device owners. GServices, on the other hand, is ready for download on the Apple App Store and soon on Google Play. And the GCash app is now live on the App Store, Google Play, and BlackBerry World.

  • GServices allows you to check your prepaid load or postpaid balance or bill; share credits; check rewards points; redeem rewards; and subscribe to promos—in just a few taps.
  • With Globe’s reworked GCash app, conveniently buy prepaid load using your handset while enjoying a 10% rebate to boot. Even better, send money to family and friends via their mobile numbers or Facebook or email accounts.
  • Avoid the hassle of racing to the theater or queuing in long lines for those hotly anticipated blockbusters. GMovies is essentially mall movie-watching done right; it enables you to view movie schedules; pick the cinema, screening time, and seats; and pay for tickets online. Currently, this is in partnership with Ayala Malls and Sureseats, but we’re told Globe will partner with more theaters in the months ahead.
  • GMessage, as you may have guessed, is Globe’s take on an online mobile-messaging app. It lets users send and receive messages to and from other GMessage users anywhere in the world for free. Non-Gmessage users will be charged P0.15 per message.
